Zhapаров discussed with the head of the ADB the Kambar-Ata-1 and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway

As part of his activities, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, held a meeting with Zou Jia, the head of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. This was reported by the president's press service.

During the discussion, issues regarding the bank's participation in the implementation of significant infrastructure projects were addressed, such as the construction of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 and the railway connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

Japarov emphasized that industrialization remains one of the fundamental directions of state policy. He noted the need to implement projects with high added value, modernize industry, and develop processing.



The president also highlighted the task of eliminating the electricity deficit as a priority, emphasizing the strategic importance of constructing the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 and modernizing the country's energy infrastructure.

Additionally, projects in the field of transport logistics and road construction were discussed. Japarov noted that infrastructure development would contribute to strengthening the republic's transit potential and enhancing the competitiveness of its economy.

Zou Jia, for her part, noted that Kyrgyzstan is one of the founders of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and is considered a strategic partner. She confirmed the bank's readiness to continue financing existing projects and explore new initiatives.

According to the administration, the bank is ready to consider the possibility of participating in the financing of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1, as well as to study the proposals from the Kyrgyz side regarding the railway project connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
