The event was held at the Kurmanjan Datka Historical and Ethnographic Museum.
Among those present were the district akim Chyngyz Bapaev, his deputy, as well as the head of the district internal affairs department Chyngyz Imanaliev and leaders of various institutions.
During the celebration, melodies emphasizing the significance of the ak kalpak and the state flag were played, and the fluttering flags against the blue sky created an atmosphere of festivity. The district akim congratulated the participants and highlighted the importance of state symbols in modern life.
The song "Alaï," performed by Zhyrgalbek Zhangozuev, which is considered the anthem of Alaï, was enthusiastically received.
Employees of local organizations lined up, dressed in ak kalpaks and holding state flags, which added color to the event.

Every year on March 5, the Day of the Ak Kalpak is celebrated in Kyrgyzstan, established by a resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh on June 29, 2016. This day is intended to support traditions and culture, as well as to awaken national pride. The unofficial celebration began in 2011.
The state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was approved on March 3, 1992, by the Jogorku Kenesh and was raised on the building of the Government House on March 5. The authors of the flag are E. Aydarbekov, B. Zhaichibekov, S. Iptarov, Zh. Mataev, and M. Sydykov.
President Sadyr Japarov signed a law on December 22, 2023, amending the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the State Symbols of the Kyrgyz Republic." This law, adopted on December 20, 2023, aims to improve the design of the flag, specifically changing the shape of the sun's rays from wavy to straight.
