The National Investment Agency, operating under the President of Kyrgyzstan, continues its active work on implementing the agreements reached during President Sadyr Japarov's official visit to Italy. Strengthening bilateral investment cooperation is one of the key aspects of the country's foreign economic strategy.

An important step in this direction is the completion of the ratification of the agreement on the encouragement and protection of investments between Kyrgyzstan and Italy, which is currently under consideration in the Jogorku Kenesh. This document is intended to create favorable and predictable conditions for foreign investors, as well as to promote the strengthening of partnership relations between the two states.

Recently, a delegation from the Italian firm TRITOR visited Kyrgyzstan. An extended meeting was held at the National Agency with the participation of the mayors of Tokmok, Karakol, Osh, Kara-Balta, and Bishkek, as well as representatives of relevant government agencies.

As a result of this meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed, which outlines the parties' intentions to create a facility for the processing of solid household waste using modern technologies from Italy.
During the visit, the Italian partners were presented with landfills for solid household waste in Tokmok and Kara-Balta as possible sites for the project. Preliminary estimates indicate that the investment volume could range from 10 to 12 million euros. The Italian side is also interested in a long-term lease of land for up to 30 years on mutually beneficial terms.

Additionally, options for supplying equipment for the processing of medical waste to one of the medical institutions in the Chui region were discussed. The estimated cost of such equipment is around $700,000. The company confirmed its readiness to consider special supply conditions, given the social significance of the project. Consultations are currently ongoing to prepare the investment agreement.

The National Agency also held a meeting with the company Valli Estensi, which specializes in the production of tomato products. The investment potential of Kyrgyzstan was presented to the Italian side, including opportunities in the agro-industrial sector. The company expressed interest in further exploring cooperation opportunities.
A working meeting also took place with representatives of the company Unimpresa, during which possible areas of cooperation and formats for business partnership were discussed.

Negotiations were held with the participation of the Deputy Ambassador of Italy to Kazakhstan, the director of the office of the Agency for the Promotion and Internationalization of Italian Companies Abroad, and representatives of the consular department of the Italian embassy. The Italian side noted that Kyrgyzstan is one of the 15 priority countries for Italy and expressed a desire to deepen economic cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the initiative of organizing a business forum in the format of "Central Asia + Italy." The Kyrgyz side confirmed its readiness to provide comprehensive support in the preparation and conduct of this event.

To further expand interaction, the National Agency initiated requests for assistance in establishing contacts with relevant Italian development institutions, including the Italian Trade and Investment Agency and the FederUnacoma association, as well as for conducting thematic online negotiations with interested companies.
