Recently, an important agreement was signed at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration regarding the implementation of a regional project titled "Green Skills for a Green Economy in Central Asia" with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The solemn ceremony was attended by Kanat Sagynbaev, the Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration, as well as representatives from the ministry and Udo Volkers, the head of the GIZ regional project.

Kanat Sagynbaev emphasized the significance of this agreement, noting that it strengthens the strategic partnership between the ministry and GIZ. The new project will create opportunities for improving vocational education and enhancing the competitiveness of the workforce in the "green" economy sectors.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of developing modern competencies and "green" skills in a context where the economy is striving for sustainable and environmentally friendly development. The implementation of the project will prepare qualified specialists for the "green" sectors and improve employment opportunities for the population.

The goal of the regional project is to enhance employment for both youth and adults in Central Asian countries. As part of this initiative, the development and implementation of new methodologies for training in "green" skills will be supported, as well as the creation of professions and projects that meet the requirements of an environmentally oriented economy.

The key areas for training specialists cover fields such as solar technologies, energy efficiency, rational use of water resources, and waste management.

The project also involves the modernization of educational programs, the introduction of innovative forms of training, and the exchange of best practices among the countries of the region. This, in turn, should expand job prospects for graduates and make their training more aligned with labor market demands.
