At a meeting held on March 17, Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Erlis Akunbekov discussed with representatives of the joint-stock company "Altyn Tamyr" plans to create a plant that will produce vaccines for animals.
According to the ministry, this project is of great importance for ensuring veterinary safety in the country, as well as for raising production standards in the livestock sector.
Significant measures are being taken in Kyrgyzstan to develop the livestock sector and maintain control over the epizootic situation. The minister is actively holding meetings with experts to improve the state of the epizootic situation.
It should be noted that "Altyn Tamyr" is the only producer of biopreparations in the country, producing about 20 different products. These vaccines not only meet the needs of local livestock but are also exported to countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan.
During the discussion, the minister outlined key tasks:
- ensure high quality standards and sufficient production volumes of vaccines;
- accelerate the construction of the plant and its commissioning;
- develop an effective vaccine procurement program;
- consider the project as strategically important for the country's economic development.
Erlis Akunbekov emphasized that this initiative will significantly improve control over the epizootic situation, help prevent diseases among animals, and support the development of domestic production.
Upon completion of the project, Kyrgyzstan will be able not only to meet domestic needs for quality veterinary vaccines but also to expand its export capabilities in the future.
