The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan clarified who can enroll in the first grade
The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan has approved a new digital system "Electronic Registration of Children in State and Municipal General Educational Organizations" for the 2026/27 academic year.
According to this system, children born between January 1 and December 31, 2019, as well as between January 1 and December 31, 2020, can enroll in the first grade.
Children over 8 years old or those who do not have the necessary documents confirming their identity may be admitted at the discretion of the Commission for Children's Affairs (KDA).
The registration process for the first grade will take place in two stages through the "Electronic Registration" system across the country:
— in the first stage, children who have registration in the school's microdistrict by one of the parents or legal representatives will be accepted;
— in the second stage, children will be accepted regardless of permanent registration if there are available places in the school.
The first stage will begin on April 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM, and the second stage will start on June 1, 2026, also at 10:00 AM, provided there are available spots in the educational institution.
Children can be registered through the "personal account" on the platform 1mektep.edu.gov.kg.
It is important to note that there are no tests, exams, or interviews required for enrollment in the first grade.
The main objectives of implementing the "Electronic Registration" system include:

The system processes personal data of both children and their legal representatives, as well as citizens of Kyrgyzstan and foreign nationals using the inter-agency electronic interaction system "Tunduk" for verification.
Information about the child includes:
