Kokulov stated that tobacco brands are being promoted in Kyrgyz cinema. He is ready to sue.
At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Science, Education, and Culture, held on January 19, Deputy Erulan Kokulov expressed concern about the hidden advertising of tobacco in Kyrgyz films. He noted that in some episodes, cigarettes of a well-known foreign brand are shown and questioned whether this constitutes advertising. Deputy Minister of Culture Marat Tagaev confirmed that such scenes do indeed exist. Kokulov expressed bewilderment at the lack of measures to control such films.
