Residents are urged to participate in the sanitation of their neighborhoods
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a two-month beautification campaign has been announced. The corresponding order came from the city hall.
The city authorities noted that the clean-up days will be aimed at improving the condition of urban infrastructure, sanitation, greening, and general beautification of the capital's territory.
City officials have called on residents to actively participate in cleaning streets, parks, yards, and squares, as well as in planting trees and shrubs and improving public spaces.
Organizations, enterprises, and institutions of various forms of ownership will also be involved in the activities of the two-month campaign.
It should be noted that residents of the city have repeatedly criticized local authorities for the mass cutting down of trees and shrubs, as well as for the lack of watering for already planted saplings. Additionally, in the past, mandatory participation of schoolchildren, students, and budget sector employees in clean-up days was observed.
