Parajudo is an adapted version of judo for people with visual impairments. This sport is an official Paralympic event, where all judo rules are followed, but with certain modifications to ensure safety and fairness in competitions. For example, matches begin with a grip, which helps avoid orientation issues on the tatami. There is also a classification of athletes by level of vision: groups B1, B2, and B3, but they compete in a general stream.
