Mikhail Mamiashvili noted that the federation will receive compensation for the wrestler's transfer, adding that this is a normal practice, although he would have preferred a larger amount.
Shavaev won the championship of Kyrgyzstan on December 24, defeating Mukhammed Abdullayev in the final, who is the leader of the national team in his weight category.
This athlete has already won the titles of two-time champion of Russia (in 2021 and 2022) in the category up to 79 kilograms, as well as becoming the winner of the BRICS Games 2024.
