Achieving such a result became possible due to the high ranking of the team. Over the past two years, Kyrgyz volleyball players have twice become winners of the Central Asian Volleyball Association tournament. Currently, the national team ranks 62nd in the world ranking and 10th in Asia.
The tournament will feature 12 leading teams from the continent: seven of them were selected based on last year's results, while the other five earned their spots through ranking.
The Nations Cup will take place from June 6 to 14 in the Philippines. In the first stage, teams will be divided into two groups, after which the two best teams from each group will advance to the "Final Four." The remaining teams will compete for 5th to 12th places.
