Igor Filin, a representative of Kyrgyzstan, achieved outstanding results, winning a gold medal in the "masters 60-64" category after a convincing victory in the road race over a distance of 62.4 kilometers. Additionally, he has already secured a silver medal in the individual time trial over 20 kilometers.

This achievement marks the first gold for Kyrgyzstan in the road race since the country gained independence and the fifth gold medal at the Asian Road Cycling Championships. Previously, Evgeny Vakker won gold at continental championships in 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2012, but only in individual races.
