Islam Bayalinov, a judoka from Kyrgyzstan, performed brilliantly at the Open Masters Games 2026 held in Abu Dhabi, where he won a gold medal. In his weight category up to 73 kg, the 40-year-old athlete started his competition from the quarter-finals and successfully achieved four consecutive victories over opponents from Brazil and Kazakhstan, securing him first place.
It is worth noting that in January of this year, Bayalinov became the silver medalist at the Kyrgyzstan Judo Championship, which confirms his high level and successful performances both at home and on international stages.
