Islam Bayalinov won gold at the Open Masters Games

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Islam Bayalinov has won a gold medal at the Open Masters Games 2026, taking place in the United Arab Emirates.

The competitions began on February 7 in the capital of the country, Abu Dhabi.

Bayalinov, who is also the head coach of the women's judo team of Kyrgyzstan, competed in the under 73 kg category, starting his journey from the round of 16.

The athlete managed to achieve four consecutive victories over representatives from Brazil and Kazakhstan, which allowed him to take first place.

Prior to this, at the end of January, Islam participated in the Kyrgyzstan championship, where he won a silver medal.
