On February 15, a conference was held, attended by the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliyev, sambo veterans, and federation members.
During the conference, Marlen Mamataliyev welcomed the participants, highlighting the successes of Kyrgyz sambo wrestlers and wishing them new victories. Due to an increase in his official duties, he transferred the powers of the head of the Sambo Federation of Bishkek to parliament deputy and honored master of sports in sambo Zhanibek Amatov. The conference delegates unanimously elected Marlen Mamataliyev as the honorary president of the federation.
Aziz Ibraev, the president of the Sambo Federation, Mirlan Akerov, the general secretary, and Murat Arystanbekov, the head of the executive committee, were re-elected for a new five-year term.
