Kutmanbiy Muratov won bronze at the Youth World Cup in Montenegro

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Kutmanbiy Muratov won a bronze medal at the Youth World Boxing Cup held in Montenegro.

The competition, titled "Pearl of the Adriatic," started on March 4 in the city of Budva and gathered participants aged up to 19 years.

Muratov competed in the weight category up to 70 kg, where 14 boxers entered the ring.

His path to the medal began in the 1/8 finals, where he secured victories over opponents from Ukraine and Kazakhstan, allowing him to advance to the semifinals.

However, on March 9, in the match that determined the finalists, the Kyrgyzstani lost to a boxer from Azerbaijan.

Thus, in the final protocol, Kutmanbiy Muratov took third place and was awarded a bronze medal.

In the category up to 60 kg, Umar Orusbaev also reached the finals and is preparing for the match for the gold medal, which will take place on March 11.
