Umar Orusbaev won silver at the Youth World Cup

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Umar Orusbaev became the silver medalist of the youth World Cup in boxing, which took place in Montenegro.

The tournament called "Pearl of the Adriatic," featuring boxers under 19 years old, concluded on March 11 in Budva.

Orusbaev competed in the category up to 60 kg, where 16 boxers participated.

On his way to the final, the Kyrgyzstani athlete achieved three consecutive victories, defeating opponents from Estonia, Ukraine, and Sweden.

In the final, held on March 11, Orusbaev faced a representative from Kazakhstan. After three rounds, the judges awarded the victory to the Kazakh boxer by a split decision.

Thus, Orusbaev secured second place, adding a silver medal to his collection.

Additionally, bronze medals were also won by Mukhamadali Kanybekov (in the weight category up to 50 kg), Kutmanbiy Muratov (up to 70 kg), and Iskandar Rasulzhanov (up to 80 kg).
