Iskandar Rasulzhanov won bronze at the Youth World Cup in Montenegro

Kyrgyz boxer Iskandar Rasuljanov won third place at the Youth World Boxing Cup held in Montenegro.

The tournament, titled "Pearl of the Adriatic," began on March 4 in Budva and gathered participants no older than 19 years.

Iskandar competed in the weight category up to 80 kg, where he faced 13 other boxers.

In the first match of the quarter-finals, he achieved victory over Nursultan Nazarbayev from Kazakhstan with a score of 5:0.

However, on March 9, in the semi-finals, the Kyrgyz athlete lost to a Serbian competitor.

As a result, Rasuljanov took 3rd place and was awarded a bronze medal.

In the weight category up to 60 kg, Umar Orusbaev reached the finals, while Kutmanbiy Muratov also won bronze in the up to 70 kg category.
