At an extraordinary meeting of the Board of the Basketball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Artem Novikov was unanimously elected president of this organization.
After his election, Artem Novikov expressed gratitude to the board members for their trust. He emphasized that supporting youth initiatives and developing sports are important aspects of state policy today.
Novikov also noted that the president of the country, Sadyr Japarov, has repeatedly emphasized the need for the development of the sports sector, and significant steps are already being taken in this direction.
It is planned that the Federation will focus on promoting youth basketball, strengthening national teams, and expanding infrastructure for basketball activities throughout the country.
Niiaz Isakov, the chairman of the Basketball Federation, congratulated Artem Novikov on his successful election and expressed confidence that his management experience will serve as a foundation for a new phase of basketball development in the republic.
