In an interview on the "Russia 1" channel with host Pavel Zarubin, President Putin shared his feelings for the cult film by Georgy Danelia.

Zarubin noted that this film is very popular among viewers, to which Putin responded by confirming his feelings for the movie.

The film, which became iconic for the "thaw" era, is also remembered by audiences for the 18-year-old Nikita Mikhalkov, who played one of the roles in it. This year, Mikhalkov, a renowned actor and director, is celebrating his 80th birthday. Putin also mentioned his long-standing friendship with Mikhalkov.

Nikita Mikhalkov, People's Artist of the RSFSR, was born on October 21, 1945, and has left a profound mark on the world of cinema with films such as "A Man Among Strangers, A Stranger Among His Own," "Five Evenings," "Relatives," "Without Witnesses," "The Slave of Love," "An Unfinished Piece for Mechanical Piano," and "Several Days in the Life of I. I. Oblomov." His work "Burnt by the Sun" won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival and an Oscar. Among his significant acting roles are shipowner Paratov in "A Cruel Romance," Sir Baskerville in "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes," engineer Ustyuzhanin in "Siberiada," conductor Andrey in "A Station for Two," and criminal authority Mikhalych in the comedy "Deadly Dances."
