Today, November 6, the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan decided to deny registration to Mirlan Payazidinovich Nurbaev, a candidate for electoral district No. 5 for the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. The reason for the denial is the concealment of information about his activities.

As reported by the CEC, during the document verification process, it was established that Nurbaev had been actively engaged in religious activities for a long time, serving as the director of the religious charitable foundation "Aravan Zeket" and as a representative of the "As-Safa" foundation, according to certificates from the National Agency for Religious Affairs and the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

The Central Election Commission noted that in accordance with Form No. 61 and the declaration of compliance with restrictions for religious figures, Nurbaev stated that he is not one. The working group concluded that he does not meet the legislative requirements for candidates for deputies.

According to part 4 of article 3 of the Constitutional Law "On Elections," individuals engaged in religious activities cannot run for the Jogorku Kenesh for five years after the completion of their religious activities. In this regard, the CEC of the Kyrgyz Republic denied Nurbaev registration as a candidate for deputy in district No. 5.
