Each correctional facility is equipped with a remote polling station, ensuring equal voting opportunities for both detainees and staff at their place of registration. The electoral process is monitored by relevant state institutions to guarantee its transparency.
In particular, at facility No. 21 of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SIZO-1), work has been organized to ensure the rights of inmates to participate in the elections.
To fully exercise constitutional rights, remote polling station No. 9112 operates in this facility, and conditions have been created for remote voting for detainees and staff in high-security correctional institutions at their place of registration.
Control over the legitimacy of the elections is carried out by several supervisory bodies, including:
- a representative of the prosecutor's office, monitoring compliance with laws in the institutions of the penal system;
- two representatives from the Ombudsman Institute of the Kyrgyz Republic.
