In Kyrgyzstan, voting is taking place in institutions under the Penitentiary Service for the extraordinary elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh. According to the press service, more than 500 inmates and 150 staff members of the Penitentiary Service participated in the voting.

Each correctional facility is equipped with a remote polling station, ensuring equal voting opportunities for both detainees and staff at their place of registration. The electoral process is monitored by relevant state institutions to guarantee its transparency.

In particular, at facility No. 21 of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SIZO-1), work has been organized to ensure the rights of inmates to participate in the elections.

To fully exercise constitutional rights, remote polling station No. 9112 operates in this facility, and conditions have been created for remote voting for detainees and staff in high-security correctional institutions at their place of registration.

Control over the legitimacy of the elections is carried out by several supervisory bodies, including:

These bodies oversee the adherence to voting procedures, verify the compliance of the electoral process with established requirements, and ensure that each voter can freely express their will.
