KARPOV Gennady Nikolaevich
Architect. Born in 1946 in the city of Frunze, Kyrgyz SSR,
In 1965, he graduated from the Frunze Construction Technical School with a degree in industrial and civil construction.
In 1970, he graduated from the architectural and construction faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute. After completing his studies, he began working at the State Design Institute "Kyrgyzpromproject," where he held various positions, and since 1975, he has been working as the chief architect of the institute.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1973.
Awarded a diploma from the Union of Architects of the USSR for the architecture of the publishing house of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan (1977), and a second-degree diploma for the architecture of special automobile centers in the cities of Frunze, Ashgabat, Dushanbe, and Leninabad (1983).
G. N. Karpov has been working in the field of industrial architecture for over fifteen years. He actively participates in the establishment of modern industrial architecture in Kyrgyzstan, leading a large creative team of architects at the largest industrial profile institute in the republic, "Kyrgyzpromproject." His projects have led to the construction of enterprises in Frunze, Tokmak, Ashgabat, and Mary; with his direct involvement, schemes for the organization and placement of industrial enterprises in Frunze, a scheme for the industrial area in Przhevalsk, and others have been created.
In 1982, he was sent to the People's Republic of Kampuchea to assist the country in restoring industrial and civil facilities destroyed during the reign of the reactionary regime. In Kampuchea, he participated in developing proposals for restoring the national bank, implementing project solutions for reconstructing a higher technical school, a 500-bed state hospital, a vocational technical school, a diesel power station, and a construction base in Phnom Penh, as well as creating the national design organization of Kampuchea.
In his creative work, G. I. Karpov pays great attention to organizing architectural design and creating creative conditions for the architects of the institute.

1974. Engineering building of the Republican Association "Kyrgyzselkhoztekhnika" (as part of a team);
1975. Administrative and household building of the KIP plant in Frunze (as part of a team); Wool spinning factory in Tokmak (as part of a team); Training and production complex of the wool and cloth factory in Frunze (as part of a team); 9-story design building on Fuchik Street in Frunze (as part of a team);
1978. Expansion of the "Kyrgyzpromproject" institute in Frunze (as part of a team);
1979. Design building of the Main Specialized Design Bureau for hay harvesting machinery (as part of a team); Mechanization and supply base in Ashgabat (as part of a team);
1981. Special automobile centers for 1300 vehicles in Frunze, Ashgabat, Leninabad, Dushanbe (as part of a team); 1982. VLKSM sewing factory in Frunze (as part of a team); 1985. Expansion of the Frunze Production Knitting Association 114 (as part of a team).
