Balyan Grigory Aikazovich (1928), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1983), Professor (1988).Armenian. Born in the village of Barum, Shamkhor District, Azerbaijan SSR. Graduated from the Agronomy Faculty of AzSХI (1948), postgraduate studies at the All-Union Research Institute of Forage (1952).
Worked as head of the Mir-Bashir Experimental Station of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR, senior researcher at AzNIIZ, head of the department at AzNIIZH, senior researcher at KirgNIIZHV, head of the sector and department of Cultural Pastures at the Kyrgyz NITIPK, and since 1995 - head of the department of field forage production at KirgNITIPK.
Specialist in the field of crop production and meadow management. Awarded medals for World War II. Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic (1998). More than 150 scientific works published, including 5 monographs, 4 inventions, and 1 patent. Under his supervision, 2 doctoral and 12 candidate dissertations have been defended.
