Tuzov Leonid Vasilievich (1925),
Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1967), Professor (1968)
Russian. Born in the village of Pendelka, Kuznetsky District, Penza Region, Russia.
Graduated from Kyrgyz State Agricultural Institute (1948), and completed postgraduate studies there (1951).
Worked as a senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the department, and vice-rector of KSU, and since 1997 - director of the Institute of Fundamental Sciences at KGNU.
Specialist in the field of solid-state physics.
Awarded the orders of the Great Patriotic War, the Red Banner of Labor, Danaker, Friendship of Peoples, the Badge of Honor, the Honorary Certificate of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993), and medals of the USSR.
Honored Worker of Public Education of the Kyrgyz Republic (1995).
Published over 150 scientific works, including 2 textbooks.
Under his supervision, 11 candidate dissertations have been defended.
