According to Japarov, the bank will be completely private and will have no relation to state structures, expecting multi-billion dollar investments thanks to cooperation with Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance.
The president also noted that throughout his time in power, he has not involved family members in the management of state affairs.
“I believe that one politician in a family is enough. I have always advised them: engage in business, develop production, and attract investors,” Japarov added.
He stated that his relatives adhere to these recommendations: none of them plan to run for parliament or hold ministerial positions; all work in the private sector and contribute to attracting foreign investments.
The president promised that upon completing his term, he would disclose information about all family projects, including the investments of his brothers and the achievements of his son Rustam.
The Idea of Creating the Bank
In May 2025, Changpeng Zhao visited Kyrgyzstan and proposed to open a digital bank. Japarov suggested considering a state project option, but CZ rejected this idea, stating that he did not wish for state participation, and the parties agreed on a private format.
The president personally invited Marat Sultanov as an experienced banker to participate in the project.
It was also proposed to include Nurdöölöt Nurgözhoev among the founders.
After some consideration, Japarov agreed: “Let him gain experience with professionals. It’s better than going into politics.”
Reasons for Choosing Kyrgyzstan
“Changpeng Zhao does not visit every country,” noted the president.
The main reasons include:
Obvious progress in the fight against corruption and crime.
Many countries are trying to persuade Changpeng Zhao, but without success.
As a result, billions of dollars will flow into Kyrgyzstan through "Berekett Bank." New investors will join the founders. “Only benefits for the people, no harm,” assured Japarov.
Bank Operations
The bank will operate on a standard model but with a focus on virtual assets and digital currencies.
It will be integrated with the recently launched national stablecoin KGST on the BNB Chain and the future digital som.
Son's Experience
Nurdöölöt has an education in economics and finance, just like his brother Rustam. “He doesn’t have much experience yet, but young people are mastering cryptocurrencies faster than we do,” noted the president. The main thing is that his son works with top-notch professionals of world caliber.
Social Responsibility
Part of the bank's income will be directed to:
- assistance to orphans and those in need;
- construction of schools, hospitals, and mosques;
- support for low-income populations.
