On November 1, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic Sadyr Japarov participated in an event dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the Kyrgyz police. The celebration took place at the Turdakun Usubaliev Square in Bishkek.

In his speech, Japarov emphasized that serving the homeland requires courage and resilience from police officers, which they demonstrate daily by upholding law and order.

“Society expects high responsibility, justice, and honesty from the police. Each of you must remember: ‘The police are at the service of the people’ and confirm this with your actions!” the president noted.

The president also noted that significant steps have been taken over the past five years to enhance the authority of the Kyrgyz police. According to him, 85% of the material and technical base of the internal affairs agencies has been updated, the forms and organization of work have been changed, and salaries for employees have doubled, quadrupling for workers in the Batken region.

Today, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has fully transitioned to the "Digital Police" system, which includes modern technologies such as more than 4,000 video cameras with facial recognition capabilities. This, according to the president, has accelerated the resolution of crimes and made punishments inevitable.

“As part of the ‘Safe Country’ project, I have instructed to increase the number of video cameras to 20,000. After all these measures are implemented, the level of security in the country will significantly increase,” Japarov added.

Additionally, the president announced the commissioning of 35 new buildings for internal affairs agencies across the country. In the city of Razzakov in the Batken region, a 32-apartment building will be provided for police officers through the State Mortgage Company.

In honor of the 101st anniversary of the Kyrgyz police, 101 modern vehicles equipped with digital technologies were handed over.

“This is a confirmation of the trust and care of the state for the police. We will not overlook any employee and will provide them with everything necessary for effective work,” the president emphasized.

Japarov expressed gratitude to police veterans for their contribution to maintaining public order and wished all employees health, family happiness, and success in their service.

“May the new buildings and technical means bring you good luck! May peace always prevail in our sunny Kyrgyzstan!” the president concluded his congratulation.
