Today, October 28, a ceremony was held in Bishkek to inaugurate the new building of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, attended by President Sadyr Japarov. The information service of the presidential administration reported on this event.

In his speech, the president emphasized that modern financial technologies, such as online payments, digital banking services, and cryptocurrencies, have become an important part of our lives. He instructed the bank to intensify its efforts in the areas of digitalization and innovation, including the implementation of the "Digital Som" project.

Additionally, Japarov noted that previously it was difficult for the state to store gold due to a lack of appropriate conditions, and reserves had to be kept outside the country. Now, with the new building, the National Bank will be able to create the largest storage facility according to international standards, capable of holding up to one thousand tons of gold. This will allow Kyrgyzstan not only to securely store its reserves but also to offer such services to foreign partners.
