"We will ensure the study of native languages of national minorities in schools, but all Kyrgyzstanis must know the state language," - Deputy Head of the Cabinet.

Within the framework of the Constitution, Kyrgyzstan ensures access to school education for all children, while the study of the Kyrgyz (state) language maintains its primary importance, which continues to strengthen, said Edil Baisalov on December 24 at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.

According to him, "the state provides all necessary resources for the study of the state language, including the development and publication of textbooks in accordance with the curriculum. However, alongside this, native language instruction will be organized in primary schools for a number of national minorities, such as Uzbek, Tajik, and Russian. Nevertheless, all citizens of Kyrgyzstan need to be proficient in the state language," he added.
