At the meeting of the working group at the Ministry of Education, held on December 16, key aspects of implementing specialized education in general educational institutions were discussed. The meeting was led by the Minister of Education, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, who emphasized the importance of this initiative.

During the meeting, issues related to the development of necessary regulatory acts were considered, as well as the main directions and forms of specialization that are applied in both international and domestic practices.

According to the minister, the introduction of specialized education will allow for the consideration of individual abilities and professional interests of students. It will also help prepare specialists in in-demand professions, such as cooks or electricians.

Ministry representatives emphasized that specialized education implies dividing the curriculum into two parts: a basic part that includes mandatory subjects for all students, and a specialized part where subjects will be studied in depth depending on the chosen profession.

An example was given of Kazakhstan, where specialized education is implemented in grades 10-11, and pre-specialization training is conducted in grades 8-9.
