At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Ulan Primov expressed concern about the state of Lake Issyk-Kul, emphasizing the need for the development of stricter measures for its preservation.

According to him, without immediate action, Kyrgyzstan may face a serious ecological disaster in the future.

The deputy reported that, according to recent data, about 80 rivers used to flow into the lake, but now their number has decreased to approximately 35.

In this regard, he proposed the creation of a specialized agency that would focus on the protection and preservation of Lake Issyk-Kul.
