The geological service agency, part of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, intends to carry out a number of significant activities and initiatives by the end of 2025, as stated in official sources.
Work on the draft law
A draft law is currently being developed concerning amendments to several legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the Tax Code, as well as the laws "On Subsoil," "On Pledge," and "On Production and Consumption Waste."
Updating regulatory acts
Updating of existing regulatory documents and methodological recommendations for the geological and economic assessment of mineral deposits is underway.
Auctions for subsoil use rights
In 2025, auctions are planned to grant subsoil use rights for 15 sites across the country.
Digitalization of processes
Work is also being done to optimize and digitalize processes in the field of subsoil use, including the transition of geological archives to electronic format.
These initiatives are aimed at increasing the efficiency of management in the geological sector and creating a modern, transparent, and effective system of subsoil use.
