In Kyrgyzstan, from December 1, checks for the presence of licenses among taxi services will begin, as reported by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GUOBDD).
According to the agency's information, in accordance with legislative norms, taxis equipped with right-hand drive will be deprived of the right to operate.
The GUOBDD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly recommends that drivers prepare the necessary documents in advance to obtain a license, the deadline for which is December 1, 2025.
To obtain a license, individuals must provide the following documents:
- a copy of the vehicle registration certificate;
- (if necessary — a power of attorney for driving the vehicle);
- a copy of the technical inspection report;
- a copy of the mandatory civil liability insurance contract for passengers;
- a copy of the contract with legal or physical entities that have the facilities for conducting daily pre-trip technical inspections and medical examinations of drivers;
- confirmation of at least three years of driving experience;
- and other necessary documents.
