The Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Maxim Reshetnikov, discussed issues of bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyz colleagues, including migration, trade, and the processes of "whitening" goods at the border, reports "Nomad TV".
He noted that interaction with Kyrgyzstan encompasses many aspects. According to him, Kyrgyzstan has become an important transit hub for goods, including products from China, and building a long-term partnership in this direction is key.
One of the main tasks, in Reshetnikov's opinion, is to streamline processes at the border. "Synchronizing our issues is very important. This is a significant task that lies ahead of us," he added.
Mutual trade was also highlighted as an important aspect of cooperation. Reshetnikov emphasized the dynamic development of Kyrgyzstan, noting the active construction in Bishkek and around Issyk-Kul. "This creates a demand for increased supplies of building materials and metallurgical products," he said.
The minister emphasized that Russia values the work of migrants from Kyrgyzstan, and their remittances significantly impact the financial situation of families in the republic. "It is important that all our cooperation is based on honest and fair principles. We are moving in this direction, we have established intensive contacts, and the government of Kyrgyzstan demonstrates a high level of professionalism. Therefore, we are promptly addressing emerging issues," concluded Reshetnikov.
