Thus, at the beginning of 2025, JSC "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan" intended to install 500,000 such meters, and this goal has been successfully achieved.
The distribution of "smart" meters has occurred in various regions: 28,605 units have been installed in Bishkek, 114,884 in the Chui region, 36,900 in the Talas region, 108,907 in the Osh region, 45,912 in the Batken region, 82,903 in the Jalal-Abad region, 47,929 in the Issyk-Kul region, and 33,960 in the Naryn region.
The main task of implementing "smart" meters is to optimize the distribution of electricity for consumers, as well as to monitor its distribution, provide remote service, and enhance accounting efficiency.
Additional advantages of "smart" meters include:
• automatic transmission of readings to the server in real time;
• protection of electrical network equipment from overloads;
• notifications of attempts at unauthorized access to the meter;
• automatic disconnection of electricity in case of debt and its restoration after payment.
