The Press Service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the approved Concept will establish strategic directions for the tourism industry, as well as measures aimed at deepening economic cooperation and increasing mutual tourist trips between the member countries of the Union.

As part of the Concept, the creation of joint tourism offers, the development of new Eurasian routes, and raising awareness about the tourism opportunities of the EAEU states in both domestic and foreign markets are planned. In addition, it is planned to launch a special section dedicated to tourism on the official portal of the Union.
Tourism is a key factor for economic growth and job creation. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, in 2024 this sector will account for about 10% of global GDP and will be a source of employment for one in ten people. In the EAEU countries, the share of tourism in the overall GDP is approximately 3%, indicating significant potential for further growth.
It is expected that the implementation of this Concept will lead to an increase in mutual tourist flows, enhance the contribution of the tourism sector to the economy, and contribute to the development of infrastructure and the creation of new jobs in the member states of the Union.
