On December 21, a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council took place in St. Petersburg, during which a number of decisions were made regarding the development of a unified services market in the construction sector. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

As part of these decisions, four liberalization plans were approved, covering 14 different sectors related to the management of construction projects. These plans envisage a phased transition to the principles of a unified services market for general contracting and general design works within the EAEU.

As noted by the ministry, the implementation of these roadmaps will allow construction companies from the Union countries to operate in the territory of all EAEU states without the need to establish additional legal entities. Furthermore, mutual recognition of permits and qualification documents issued in the country of registration will be ensured.

The unified market will cover the construction of various facilities: industrial, commercial, agricultural, and residential, as well as infrastructure, including roads and railways, energy, and other facilities.

The Ministry of Economy added that these measures are aimed at reducing administrative barriers, lowering business costs, and increasing business activity in the construction sector across the EAEU.
