The economy of Kyrgyzstan has more than doubled in three years – government

The growth rate of the gross domestic product (GDP) exceeded 11%, making it one of the most impressive on a global scale.



At a meeting in the president's administration, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev presented preliminary results of the country's economic growth for the year 2025.


Kasymaliev noted that in 2024 and 2025, the economy demonstrated growth of over 11%. By the end of 2025, the gross domestic product reached 1 trillion 976.4 billion soms, and according to revised forecasts, it may exceed 2 trillion soms. In 2022, the GDP was 1 trillion 21 billion soms, thus, since 2022, the economy has doubled in size.


The real GDP growth rate in 2025 was 11.1%, while the average annual growth over the past four years was 10.2%. As emphasized by the head of the Cabinet, this is a significant achievement both regionally and globally.


The contribution to economic growth came from all sectors. Construction increased by 21.1%, services by 10.9%, agriculture by 2.2%, and industry by 10.7%. The volume of industrial production amounted to almost 800 billion soms. Particularly impressive growth rates were observed in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food industry, construction materials production, automotive, chemical products, and mining.


In addition, the volume of investments in fixed capital increased by 18.4%, reaching a historical record of 374.6 billion soms, which is 100 billion soms more than in 2024. At the same time, 24% of the total investment volume, amounting to 90.3 billion soms, was financed from the republican budget.
