Italy will help Kyrgyzstan clean cities from garbage
Kyrgyzstan is on the path to solving the waste disposal problem and transitioning to a circular economy. On February 2, a meeting was held at the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic with representatives of the Italian company TRITOR S.R.L. The result of this meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation, which will open opportunities for the implementation of advanced European technologies for the recycling of household and medical waste in the republic.

The project envisions the processing of up to 200 tons of unsorted waste per day. An important feature of the Italian technology is the production of environmentally friendly alternative fuel, which will be used in the country’s cement plants. In addition, the signed agreement covers key aspects such as the reclamation of overflowing landfills and the creation of a reliable medical waste disposal system in public health institutions.

Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, emphasized that Kyrgyzstan urgently needs effective solutions that can be quickly adapted to local conditions. Representatives from city administrations and the Ministry of Health also participated in the discussions, beginning to search for suitable sites for the installation of pilot projects. The Italian side will also take on commitments to train local specialists and ensure transparency in financial processes, making this project an important step in the development of Kyrgyzstan's "green" economy.
