
The project envisions the processing of up to 200 tons of unsorted waste per day. An important feature of the Italian technology is the production of environmentally friendly alternative fuel, which will be used in the country’s cement plants. In addition, the signed agreement covers key aspects such as the reclamation of overflowing landfills and the creation of a reliable medical waste disposal system in public health institutions.
Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, emphasized that Kyrgyzstan urgently needs effective solutions that can be quickly adapted to local conditions. Representatives from city administrations and the Ministry of Health also participated in the discussions, beginning to search for suitable sites for the installation of pilot projects. The Italian side will also take on commitments to train local specialists and ensure transparency in financial processes, making this project an important step in the development of Kyrgyzstan's "green" economy.
