Cryptocurrencies lost 467 billion dollars in the world over the week

Bitcoin alone lost more than 2.5 billion dollars

Over the past week, the market capitalization of cryptocurrencies in the global market decreased by 476.6 billion dollars, according to information published by Bloomberg.

According to data from CoinGecko, a sharp decline in the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has been observed since January 29. On February 3, some of them reached their lowest values since the beginning of 2024, including Bitcoin, which lost 2.5 billion dollars.

This sharp drop in prices triggered mass liquidations of risky positions in the market and intensified doubts about whether "digital gold" can serve as a reliable asset in times of instability.
