At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev reported that the problems that arose in the textile industry in 2025 were successfully resolved.

In response to questions from deputies, he explained that the main difficulty was entering the Wildberries platform and determining the value-added tax (VAT) payer.

“The situation was exacerbated by the fact that the Russian Federation intensified control measures, as the corresponding taxes were not being paid into the budget. Wildberries was not a VAT payer. The issue was discussed at a recent meeting of the EEC council, concerning the 'Honest Sign', customs procedures, and tax determination. Together with Wildberries, we resolved these problems,” Amangeldiev added.

He also reported that the government provided funding for the industry through loans at an interest rate of 6% per annum and that the president allocated additional funds from his fund to support textile production.

Daniyar Amangeldiev commented on deputies' statements regarding the closure of 6,000 to 8,000 textile enterprises, noting that this data is not accurate.

According to official statistics, the volume of production in Kyrgyzstan remained at the same level, he reported.

Earlier, during discussions on the problems of the textile industry in the Jogorku Kenesh, it was stated that 4,000 to 5,000 sewing workshops had closed in the country.

In the fall of 2025, it was reported that changes in the requirements of the Russian Federation created a number of difficulties for representatives of Kyrgyzstan's textile industry. Problems with exporting products to Russia were also discussed in the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
