Head of the State Tax Service on Inspections: Fear has never been and will never be a stable source of budget revenue

At the meeting of the board held on February 6, Shykmamatov emphasized that a key aspect of the reforms was a radical change in tax administration. He noted that the State Tax Service made a conscious choice to abandon unnecessary inspections and pressure on entrepreneurs, as fear cannot serve as a stable source of budget revenues.

The head of the State Tax Service also reported that in 2025, the possibility of conducting field audits by the central office was completely abolished, which contributed to a reduction in corruption risks.

"At the same time, we have revised our approaches to the appointment and conduct of audits in territorial divisions, creating a system of control and coordination focused on the quality and justification of audits, rather than their quantity," he added.
