According to the order of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, issued on January 30, 2026, under number 3, temporary state regulation of prices for meat, including beef and lamb (excluding boneless meat), has been introduced in the country. In this regard, the territorial departments of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service have determined the maximum prices for these products.

The lowest prices are recorded in the Ak-Talinsky district — 620 soms per kilogram of beef and 650 soms for lamb. At the same time, the highest rates are observed in Balakchy and Chui region, where the price reaches 740 and 750 soms respectively.

In 2025, the issue of rising meat prices became one of the main topics of discussion in Kyrgyzstan. To curb prices, the government decided to ban meat exports; however, this ban expired at the end of December.
