Scientists and agrarians discussed organic certification issues in Bishkek
In Bishkek, a meeting initiated by the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Mahabat Mavlyanova, took place to discuss issues related to the development of organic agriculture. The event was attended by deputies, relevant officials, scientists from the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University (KNAU), and business representatives seeking ways to strengthen this sector.

Mahabat Mavlyanova emphasized the importance of organic production as a means of improving the nation's health and the potential to increase the income of rural residents through the export of environmentally friendly products. During the discussion, Mukhtar Chynaliev, representing the Department of Organic Agriculture, outlined measures for state support and new certification standards, while Ulan Shergaziev, the vice-rector of KNAU, proposed the implementation of the university's scientific developments directly into farming practices.

At the conclusion of the meeting, several agreements were signed. The event coordinators, Aysuluu Moldoitieva and Shirin Jumadilova, emphasized that scientific and technical support for agrarians will now be regular, and the Association of Organic Product Producers will take active steps to promote goods in international markets.
