The KR Customs increased collections by 6 times and transferred 157 billion soms to the budget
At an expanded board meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, the results of the Customs Service (GTS) were summarized, which achieved such impressive results thanks to a large-scale digital transformation. The implementation of the "Smart Customs" platform allowed the customs to process more than 873 thousand declarations over the year, which is eight times higher than the figures for 2021. At the same time, the staff was not increased — the automation of processes significantly reduced control time: from 5 hours to 60 minutes, and in some cases — to just a few dozen minutes.

Important achievements of the GTS are expressed in the following figures:

Excess revenue: The budget received 5.8 billion soms more than planned (execution was 103.8%).

Fight against smuggling: About 10 thousand violations were detected, bringing an additional 1.56 billion soms to the treasury.

Record seizures: More than 830 kg of drugs and 22 tons of precursors were confiscated.

Simplification of business processes: The number of bureaucratic procedures was reduced from 18 to 9 steps.

Innovations: Through the QR payment system, about 2 billion soms were processed in three months.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that customs revenues account for more than 25% of the entire republican budget. The work of the service in 2025 was positively assessed; however, the goals for the future remain ambitious: for 2026, the GTS has set the task of collecting at least 142.6 billion soms and starting the implementation of a new Development Concept by 2030.
