At a conference organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission, the future application of artificial intelligence in antitrust regulation in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union was discussed.

According to the press service of the EEC, the main focus was on how AI can enhance the efficiency of entrepreneurs and become an important tool for antitrust control, which requires the development of joint approaches to its implementation.

Maxim Yermolovich, a member of the board for competition and antitrust regulation of the EEC, emphasized that the EAEU countries are focused not only on studying AI as an object for regulation but also on its active use in the analytical processes of regulatory bodies.

“Artificial intelligence should transition from the status of a subject of study and control to the role of a key analytical tool that will help automate routine operations and deepen analysis for the timely identification of risks of violating competition rules,” he noted.
