The project is being handled by the State Enterprise "AgroSmart," which operates under the Ministry and aims to improve epizootic surveillance. This will allow for a more prompt response to threats of the spread of dangerous diseases among animals and promote the digitalization of the veterinary sector in Kyrgyzstan.
The GIS "SUMO" is a modern web application that functions as a single tool for visualizing, accounting, monitoring, and analytical processing of information regarding the veterinary and sanitary conditions in the country. The project plans to:
- create an interactive map displaying anthrax hotspots, biological waste disposal facilities, and veterinary infrastructure;
- implement a system for accounting veterinary activities;
- form a centralized database for analytics and reporting, as well as for decision-making;
- automatically notify responsible services about newly registered disease outbreaks;
- integrate with the state information systems of Kyrgyzstan.
