On February 24, the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of industrial policy, transport, energy, architecture, and construction, approved several agreements related to infrastructure projects.

Among them is a project that involves the construction of a new bridge over the Naryn River on the Bishkek - Osh highway. The new bridge will be located in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region at the 315th kilometer of the Bishkek - Osh highway. The existing bridge was built half a century ago and has exhausted its resources. For these purposes, the government of Japan is providing a grant of 3 billion 190 million yen, which is equivalent to $20 million 416 thousand 639, the deputy minister added.

In addition, Janibekov presented an agreement for the construction of 3.2 km of roads and two overpass bridges in Osh, financed by the Eurasian Development Bank. The total funding for the project will amount to $19.2 million, of which $14.15 million will be provided as a loan, $1.2 million as a grant, and the remaining $3.9 million from the state budget.

Also, according to Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev, Japan is providing Kyrgyzstan with a grant of $1.15 million to create a new educational center that will train specialists in the field of energy and operators of the NESK. The construction is expected to be completed in April 2027.
