A meeting was held at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic dedicated to the implementation of the state anti-corruption strategy. Participants of the meeting reviewed the execution of activities established by the presidential decree and discussed preliminary monitoring results. Representatives from the General Prosecutor's Office, the Anti-Corruption Business Council, and civil society activists took part in the meeting. One of the key issues was the creation of a national anti-corruption expertise system for regulatory acts, which will help prevent legal loopholes at the document development stage.
The ministry emphasized the importance of digitizing management and increasing the transparency of its processes. As a result of the monitoring, specialists not only identified the successes achieved but also highlighted the most pressing issues. Specific recommendations have already been prepared to address these problems, which will be included in the final report of the ministry. The meeting also discussed the development of international cooperation in the fight against corruption and systemic measures to reduce risks in decision-making processes.
The ministry stressed that the work to combat corruption will continue as a priority. The main focus will be on the openness of the ministry to society and the implementation of new control mechanisms. A systematic approach to preventing violations will remain a key direction of the ministry's work in the near future, ensuring accountability and effective use of state resources.
