The forum "Green Economy" took place in Osh, where a meeting was held gathering representatives from government agencies, international organizations, the tourism business, and experts, dedicated to issues of sustainable tourism and reducing the carbon footprint. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the discussion, important steps for the development of sustainable tourism in the country were considered. Key topics included: reducing carbon emissions, implementing green standards, increasing energy efficiency in the tourism sector, and creating favorable conditions for attracting investments in environmentally sustainable projects.
As a result of the meeting, main directions were developed to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, which will allow for the integration of environmentally responsible practices and enhance the competitiveness of the tourism industry, contributing to the sustainable development of regions in Kyrgyzstan.
